Fruit Offerings<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 On the day of the full moon, after the Heavenly Dipper Swordsmanship training, participants accompanied Li Shifu singing the Evening Scripture<\/em>. Everyone shared the offered fruits such as nectarines, melons, honeydews and dragon fruits. Li Shifu then gave an extra-curricular class on a topic he had not spoken about before, namely singing the Scripture and offering fruits.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0The fruits of offerings are beneficial for the regulation of your energetic field. Why? Because they listened to the scripture. You would not be able to eat the fruits from offerings in big temples, as they are reserved for the cultivators, who only eat the fruits instead of common foods. If you obtained a little piece of the offered fruits, that would already not be bad, actually very fortuitous.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 The first and fifteenth day of each lunar month are great Daoist festivals. On the fifteenth the moon is the fullest and the roundest, whereas on the first it is when a new moon is being born. At this time the moon is still obscured under the horizon. The scriptures are ordinarily sung every day, yet on the fifteenth the performance of the scriptures is a little bit more complex and complicated. How to do it? There are many names of teachers and their Spirit appellations. The function of the scripture is to praise the higher Spirits and to commune with them, in the hope of obtaining their help. That is why both in the morning and in the evening the scriptures have to be chanted.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 Listening and participating in the scriptures is actually the same as singing them, it will have the same effect. Although you do not understand Chinese or Chinese characters, the higher self does not need to comprehend Chinese or English. Thus accompanying and listening to the scriptures yield the same result as singing it. What is its use? It removes bad energetic fields and reduces karmic afflictions. Furthermore, listening to the scriptures will enable you to obtain a healthy body and good fortune. It provides assistance and protection, therefore a big problem will turn into a small problem, and a small problem may disappear altogether.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 It is a requirement for the scriptures to be performed on a ritual altar, in a Daoist Field, inside a temple. Temples are not erected messily, as they are on points on the energetic web. If a temple is not on a great energetic point then maybe it is on a small one. Feng Shui is precisely a very ancient method to find those power points. It is a vast subject. Two years ago Feng Shui was taught here, on White Horse Mountain, but only one third of the topic could be covered. Partaking in the scripture, lighting incense and accompanying the scripture is a very rare opportunity and it is only possible in a few places. Our knowledge and its powers are attached to the Spirit statues. It is a type of material form to be shown to kindergarten children. If you are in middle school, there is no need for the form. If it is on a higher plane, how come there are still images? There are none. The statues are made from mud, wood and iron. Having statues is a method to help to recognize this type of other-dimensional powers. We do not worship role models, because energy fields and the Dao are unified. Like the first sentence in the Dao De Jing<\/em>;<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 What is the Dao like? In the past within Daoism and within Daoist philosophy there were no statues. After Buddhism entered China, Daoism studying from Buddhism adopted statues. This notion is conducive for teaching the elementary school students, but once graduated, there is no need for statues anymore. That is the reason why you must get this above-mentioned principle. Any energetic field and higher dimension is our teacher, as we are very stupid and foolish:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we do not eat, we get hungry.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

When we practice Gong (skills) for a long time, we get tired.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

When it is cold and we do not wear enough clothes, we get cold.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

When it is hot and we wear too many clothes, we get hot.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 This is all due to our physical body and our macro-molecules, since we are in the third dimension. We are confused as if within clouds we are unable to see. Via the method of singing the scriptures you elevate your knowledge and commune with them<\/em> and purify your body and mind. For instance the The <\/em>Three Treasures of Lighting Incense<\/em> is a ritual performed by high priests. It can facilitate your request for help when asking for their<\/em> blessings, as well as it can remove disasters and hardships. It can help others\u2019 higher selves and the original bodies to have a better connection and communion with them<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 One method is the Daoist Medicine\u2019s great ritual in the Daoist Field to remove disease through ceremonies. It is rarely used on a common basis. Where else could you find this healing method? It is just one level and aspect though. The method of singing the Scriptures is another level. One breath inhale, and one breath exhale; How long could you sing for? Once you finished singing, all breath and qi <\/em>have been emitted and exited out. It exercises the lung capacity, the Lung-Qi, the Central Qi and the Qi of the Cinnabar Field. Maybe you have yet to experience it.<\/p>\n
